About the Inventors
Darin Trees, PT, DPT, CSW is a therapist, clinical instructor, and a frequent guest lecturer on the topic of ICU rehabilitations. He has over 25 years of ICU rehab experience and a research interest in the early mobilitionation of medically complex patients. Dr. Trees has published in peer reviewed professional literature an has presented at station, national, and international levels. he received the 2003 Outstanding Clinical Educator Award from the Teas consortium and was recipient of the 2004 Mary Sinnott Award for Clinical Excellence in Acute Care from the Acute Care Section of the APTA. Most recently he was chosen as one of the finalists in the APTA first "Shark Tank" Competition for Innovation and Inventions.
Shawn earned his Bachelor's of Science Degree at Texas A&M University and spent over 20 years in medical equipment manufacturing.
