Movement is Medicine. So let's make it count.

Movement is medicine — so let’s make it count.

When you’re in bed, recovering from illness or weakness, movement alone isn’t enough. Your muscles need resistance to rebuild and regain strength.

Research shows that in patients who are immobilised, bed-bound or critically ill:
• A leg-press style resistance intervention prevented knee-extensor muscle loss during 20 days of bed rest — the control group lost ~7.8% of muscle cross-sectional area while the resistance group didn’t.
• Progressive resistance training in frail hospitalised older adults led to ~74% average improvement in one-rep max over 10 weeks — and better functional outcomes.
• Passive motion alone (cycling or just moving the legs) is not enough to preserve or restore strength in many cases.

That’s why the MOVAO Mini is designed with real, measurable resistance. It’s compact, portable, in-bed friendly — but it doesn’t compromise on load. Because strength matters.

If you’re helping someone recover — from surgery, illness, extended bed rest or ICU stay — give them more than movement. Give them a device that builds strength. Because movement is medicine — but resistance makes it work.
